If you are an employer facing layoffs or closing a facility, our Rapid Response team can help you and your affected employees navigate the transition.

Our Rapid Response team can offer you resources to retrain or restructure your workforce to avoid a layoff. The Rapid Response team works closely with companies to avert layoffs and keep a skilled workforce engaged in the existing regional economy or industry. Our Shared Work Program can stabilize your workforce during a period of economic disruption by permitting the employees who have their hours of work reduced, to receive "short-term" unemployment benefits for the lost hours of work, while continuing to work reduced hours with a continuation of their health insurance, pension coverage, and other benefits.

If a layoff is necessary, we provide your employees with services and retraining opportunities, and also identify businesses who are hiring people with similar skill sets. Our Rapid Response team will help you plan the reduction and assist your workers by providing informational workshops on transition services available to them.
