Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health (PEOSH) develops and enforces occupational health standards for public employees, and encourages employers and employees to improve their working environment.
Programs and services
The Office of Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health (PEOSH) conducts general and targeted inspections and investigations to ensure workplace safety. The PEOSH has the authority to order the correction of any safety or health hazards identified during an inspection. These services are delivered by a staff of safety professionals.
Occupational safety and health assistance
PEOSH offers free, confidential occupational safety and health consultations and training to employers in New Jersey. No fines or penalties. Experienced professional consultants will help your company comply with OSHA Regulations and keep your workforce safe.
PEOSH On-site consultation and training
Occupational Safety and Health On-Site Consultation Program
- The Occupational Safety and Health On-Site Consultation program provides free on-site safety and health consultation services to private sector employers. Trained staff identify safety and health violations of the OSHA Standards and work with employers to improve their internal occupational safety and health management systems.
Occupational Safety Training
- The Occupational Safety Training Program provides occupational safety training for private sector employers and employees.
